I've been meaning to start blogging again and fully expected that tonight's Styx show would provide plenty of fodder -- what with the anticipated vintage stage backdrop, wardrobe and fandom resurrected from the 80s. The experience of working a show like this is often somewhat akin to finding a rupture in the space-time continuum and falling back 25 years or so in time. Tonight didn't disappoint in that respect, but I can't talk smack about Styx because James Young tipped me $20 for a bottle of water, effectively earning himself a free pass on this one. Rock on JY. Rock on.
I am so sorry that I harassed the hell out of you on your last post and then here I go and be tardy in respondng to your latest post - please accept my heartfelt apologies.
Was Tommy Shaw there? If he was did you think he was singing just to you when he sang "Babe'? I've heard he has that affect on women.

I saw STYX in 1979 and 1981. There's a shit load of history been made since I last saw STYX. Damn, I'm old!!!

Of course Tommy Shaw was there! I can't tell you if he sang "Babe" with certainty because I left a bit early.

JY was always my favorite. Dennis DeYoung ruined STYX, that little cock-knocker.

Wait a second! All it takes is a $20 tip? Cheese fries obviously weren't the key. Wow, chivalry is dead.

Keith, ready to flood her inbox again until she makes another post?

UMDALUM - So you say they have big bugs in the midwest? Is Jake feeling better? Inner-ear issues are difficult when you're travelling.

Boy Howdy, big freakin' bugs.....and Jake did well, was bummed that he had to stay out of the pool for a few days.
So what else is going on with you?

I'm in Gypsy right now, playing Cigar the owner of a burlesque house.

Gypsy, what a great show. Is my favorite roboslut in this show?
Posted by: umdalum | July 31, 2008 at 06:28 PM
No, but she is in Dracula starting in September.

Oh man, she is a knockout - Any chance I can tech the show from 500 miles away?
And on another topic, it looks like I'll be headed that way sometime in the next month or so for an extended visit to NAVAIR/PAX. TDY for something like 45 days - we will have to get us a bail bondsman and hit the town a few times. More to follow as plans become clearer....
Hey Julie, aggravated with us yet??

Excellent. August - September is a good time to be up here.
